ed the Fashion Show at North
,Street United Church on Wednes-
day evening featuring fashions
from the Fashion Shoppe on' the
Square. •
Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Jones,
Michael and Gareth, accompanied
by Mrs. Jones' father of Toronto,
enjoyed three weeks in Engtand,
Wales and ,Ireland. they visited
Mr. Jones' mother in -Bedfordshire,
England and his four brothers in
England, and other relatives in
Wales. They looked up records of
Mrs Jones' ancestors in Ireland
and kissed the Blarney Stone while
there. They will have many lasting:
memories of a wonderful trip.

Brookside School float at Luck-
now Fair, depicting Old King Cole
and' some of his subjeets, won first
priie. Some school children
marched with the float too. Several
Brookside pupils were represented
among the winners' in the various
classes of elementary school work.
Since 'Looby .Copstruction has
begun work on the bridge •on the
4th concession of Ashfield and that
section of road is blocked off, the
school bus routes had to be
changed somewhat. Bus 1, driven
by Mr. Jamieson, now picks up
children between main street and
the Mill Hill formerly picked up by
Mr. Blake's bus 4.'

weekend and the Anderson family
celebrated Madeline's birthday
and John and Suzanne's first

two weeks in Dungannon and

in. Wingham and attended the
Baptist Church anniversary there.

The triple transmitter hunt and
corn roast, sponsored by the
Lucknow and District Citizens Band •
Radio Club took place on Saturday,
September .11.
Despite numerous other activit- •
ies in the' area'the event was fairly'
well attended by teams from
Guelph, Palmerston, Hariiston, •
Mount Forest and other localities.
Prizes for thp three hunts were
obtained from the • "TimberjaC" 'in
Auburn. They were power mike,
S.W.R. meter, and P.A. speaker.
Arriving on the scene of the first
hidden transmitter, in the Green- ,
ock Swamp area were first, ,
"Barney!' R. 'Williams, Guelph;
second, Sharpshooter Ray Meyers,
Harriston and third, Coonman
Larry Cowan, Palmerston.
The second transmitter, Which
was hidden in the Benmiller area,
was located first. by "Hotrod"
Keith Tridham, 'Palmerston; 'sec-
ond, Sparky Ken Dewar of Mount
Forest and third, Sharpshooter Ray
Meyers, Harriston.
Unfortunately the third transmit-
ter secreted south of Dungannon
was not located within the time
allotted and` the hunt was called.
Club 11 appreciates all C.B.ers
who travelled such a long way to •
take part 'in the hunt and also its
own, members who worked through
the day at registration, informa-
,, tion,-car 'parking and looking -after -
the corn roast Saturday night.

ST. HELENS
Many St. Helens area people
attended the Lucknow Fall 'Fair on
Saturday. Several local people thok
home prizes in the livestock and
exhibits division of the fair.
Congratulations to all the winners.
Weekend• visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Angus MacDonald were Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Miller and. Trevor
of Kitchener. Also visiting were
their other grandchildren, Paul,
Tricia and, Chris MacDonald of
Dungannon. •
Lisa Taylor was an out-patient at
Wingham • Hospital where she
received several stitches in her leg.
She received the injury .when she
fell against a steel stake while
playing.
