"Thanks", that worn out little
word seems so. insignificant. But
with the combined strength of all of
us here, including the entire staff,
it grows into a very meaningful
word. That is the way it is coming
to you in answer to our first
column. Just don't forget there is
next week and next week , and all
those many weeks to, follow.
The flowers will be gone and
snow will 'follow, but ' we at
Pinecrest will still 'be looking for
• you. We have', a' little song in" our
song book, no. 46, and it goes
something like this.

MEMORIES
Memories, memories, dreams .of
love so true,
O'er the sea of memories,
I'm drifting, back to you.
Childhood days, wildwood days,
Among the birds and , bees
You left me. alone, but still you're
my own,
In my beautiful memories.
Try and memorize it. We will not
be asking you sing it. Just dig and
dig deep into your "memories".
If all, you. folks could see the
relaxed expression on' many of
these faces for hours after you
leave, then you would understand
so much better ,what I am trying
to say. We are not much interested
in how the. bean crop is going to
turn out, or how'that fellow is doing
in, the new store,, .4far'• what the
Russians paid for that last order of
wheat.
There were years and years, ever
since World ,War One and before
that. surely , must have been
important. There were so' many
things happened in them. . •
Now, more about our "Home"
worth your attention. There is a
large spacious hall the full length of
each wing. They are wide enough
for a wheelchair race and have. a
sturdy hand rail on either side. At
the end of each hall is a large
sunroom, Well furnished with
padded chairs and sofas. There is
cable TV, small tables and a large
one for writing or playing cards. I
have my Ow* special *Wow for
these rooms because •they are the
only place "Smoking is allowed".
Each room has--large spacious
windows each facing a different
direction, so one can watch the
-sunrise. I have Rise see* semi
