SERVICE" , OPERATION SERVICE 'CHAIRMAN' yyswyrkryyy EDITORIAL Cheaters Abound At Fall Fair, Need Effective Control One of the age-old probleins of running the Lucknow Fall Fair is gate control. Following the parade on fair day, there is a surge of people, who hit the park gates like a tidal wave. Despite the efforts of willing gate keepers, .who are making chance and selling admissions as fast as they can, an amazing number of people walk past the gates without paying. -We have seedthis for years, and we saw it again on Saturday. Hundreds of dollars which should go to the work of the Fair are lost in about 15 minutes. It is a difficult problem to solve, as the gates .are kept wide open for the entrance and exit of floats and other parade entries. This prevents the gate from being narrowed down' to 'a small area where the "cheaters" could be controlled. It amazes us that people could be so , dishonest. The nominal admission charge is nothing com- pared to the dollars that people spend, today. And yet, the most surprising individuals, will slip by, the ticket taker without paying, and don't assume that they are kids. The\Agricultural. Society should give serious thought in the future as to how this annual disease could be effectively controlled. 'And to the many "cheaters" who we' observed bra , few minutes on Saturday, we hope you sleep poorly ' after reading this. STUDENTS .GQING HERE ,AND TH ERE Bob .Loree, who has been working with.
