'They wore tiny yellow roses in their hair, and carried nosegays of pink, green and mauve carnations. John . Becker, cousin of the groom, Dashwood, 'was the best man. Ushers ,were Gerald Shackle- ton, brother of the bride, Dungan- non; and Jim Becker, cousin of the groom, DashwocKl. The wedding dinner followed at Brookside School with John Cullen, cousin of the bride, Clinton, as • master of ceremonies. Guests' were received by the ' bride's 'mother who wore a formal-length gown of, blue poly- ester with long , sheer blue .sleeves and a corsage of pink carnations. The mother of the groom chose a floor-length rose gown with lace jacket and lace bodice, and a corsage of white carnations. For the wedding trip, the bride changed to a dress of ,purple and blue roses otia yellow background. Her corsage was of yelloW gweet- heait roses. The bride was entertained at several showers prior to her marriage. Recent Events:• It would seem that the month of September, 'so far, has been good for Edythe and Ross Cayley and : family of the Langside 'area, On • September 4 they attended the Kincardine Fair with their harness racing ponies and came away with a second and a fourth, That same evening their 2 year old stallion "SC Royal Robert" won the Ford' Little Stake Race at the Blyth Pony Club's annual Blanket Night. Two of their other ponies, "Double B Firie Chief" and "R-Ways Quickie" both placed,, second in their respective races. On September 5 the Cayley family travelled to Thedford for another good day of racing, where' "Double B Firie Chief" took two .seco.nds, one in the Open class and one in the ladies' race. ' On September 11 the Cayley family took their goats to the Listowel Fair where "Dickey-Doo Acres Suzette", their senior milk- ing doe, won the Champion French Alpine. "Dun Rovin Acres Glory", a 1976 doe :kid took the Reserve Champion. It is also owned' by Edythe and Ross Cayley. The SC Dairy Goat Farm brought home 3 firsts,, 4 'seconds and 3 thirds from the Listowel Fair. - On September 12, the pony racing outing was in, Watford, where the SC Stable came away With 5 firits and second. ANDREA FARLINGER Andrea Farlinger is teaching special education at Ripley. Originally from Ontario, this' is her first year of teaching.
