Former Residents
50 Years Married
The,50th wedding anniversary of
George and Margret Anger of-
Wingham was held on Saturday,
August 28. They, were married.
December '1, 1926, iti Detroit ,
Michigan. They moved to Canada
in 1930 and settled in Essex
County, where George farmed and
- worked at the Ford Motor Company
in Windsor. Then they, moved to
the Lucknow area in 1947, and
farmed • until 1966 when they
retired to Witigham. -
They have seven daughters,
Katherine; of Michigan; Mable, 'of
Michigan; Betty, of Teeswater;
Mildred, of Chicago; Barbra of
Portage La Prairie; Carol and
Diana, both of Kitchener.
Their:daughters in Canada held a
" party for them, at Sutton Park Inn in
Kincardine. .
Their best man and maid .of
honour, Mr. and Mrs. Francis
F'oWell of Detroit, Michigan, were
with them on this special day. Mr.
and Mrs. Powell will be celebrating
their 50th anniversat7 in Novem-
ber.
Also present were their daught-
ers, sons-in-law-f grandchildren ,
Mr. and Mrs. 'Harry Christie and
Brenda of Teeswater, Corporal and
Mrs. Lyman Bennett, Candy,
Shawn and Robin of Manitoba, Mr.
and. Mrs. James MacLeod, Tim and
Heather of Kitchener,. Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Strype of Kitchener,
and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Brooks of

tion and Health. While living in
EXeter, he was a' member of the
Kinsmen, the Legion and of ;the
Knights of Columbus. For the past
two, years he was a member of the
Exeter Recreation Arena and Parks
Committee and this last year was
Finance Chairman and on, the
executive of the- R.A.P-. '(Recrea-
tion„ Arena 'and Parks). In the
schoOT year 1974-1975, he was on
the system's Professional Develop-
ment- Committee and laSt year
Chairman of that committee,
working with John McCarrol help-
ing to set' up workshops for
teachers in Physical Education.
For the past twd years he repres-
ented the system in Liaison work
with various. Conservation Author-
ities.,
Mr. David Zyluk is married and
recently moved to Kincardine
where his wife Vickie ,teaches
Kindergarten classes at St. An-
thony's SChoel there; /
