May 8th at 4 p.m. for the marriage
of Joan Marie. Chester, daughter of

of Mr. and. Mrs. Leo Courtney of
Goderich: ,
Father Ed Dentinger of Kings-
bridge officiated at.the 'double ring
ceremony.
Miss Marianne Frayne.of Kings-
bridge was organist and soloist and

sang "Mdrning Has Broken" and
"We Have Only , Just Begun".
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride chose a floor-length gown
of white polyesters athr-with, tr ain .
Her• shoulder-length veil was held
by a Juliette cap. Her flowers were
pink' sweetheart roses and baby's
Miss Margaret Chester of Luck
now• was her sister's maid of
honour. She wore a, gown ef pink
polyester satin with multi-coloured
flowers and carried white shasta
breath.

of the groom, and Miss Marnie
Dickout of London, friend of the
bride. Their dresses and flowers'
were. the same as the maid. of
honour's. -
Groomsman was Ben VanDiep-
enbeek of 'R. R. 3 Goderich.
Ushers were Edward Courtney of
Goderich, brother of the groom and
Tom' CheSter, LucknoW, "brother—of
the bride.
A dinner and reception followed
at Saltford Valley Hall.
The bride's mother chose a
floor-length gown, of melon poly-
ester shantung with green carna-
tion corsage. •
The groom's • mother wore a
long-sleeved floor-length gown of
floral print crepe Romaine in
champagne tone and corsage of
pink carnations. "
For travelling the bride chose a
blue pant suit with red carnation
corsage. .
Following their wedding trip to
Niagara Falls, the, couple are
residing at R. R. 7 Lucknow.
The groom is employed at
Dominion Roads, Goderich. The
bride was employed•with Dominion
Automobile Association, London.
Prior to her marriage, 'the bride
was entertained at a shower by girl
friends and business associates in
London; a neighbourhood shower
by Mrs. Cliff Crawford and Mrs.
Jack McKim. at Mrs. Crawford's
home; a shower by Mrs. George
Joynt, Mrs. Stuart Collyer,
Brock Cleland and Mrs. Mel Corrin
at the home of 'Mrs. Joynt; a
shoWer by Mrs. Jack MacDonald
and Mrs. Don MacDonald; a
supper party and kitchen shower
for relatiyes given by •Mrs. Morgan
Henderson; and a • community
shower at the Lueknow Parish Hall.

MacTavish family at the :lovely
farm hoine of Mr. and Mrs,. Perrin
Lowry, concession 4, Huron Town-

This yearly gathering is held by'
the ,descendants of the late :Peter
MacTavish and Sarah MacNair; a
member Of the fourih generation in
the person of Kimberley Liddle,•
infant daughter of 'Charles and
Barbara Liddle was welcomed to
the group.
'Assisting Marion and Perrin as
hosts were Evelyn and Eugene
Walden of Barrie. Upon arrival the
,guests found table's set up" on the
lawn and soon all enjoyed a
splendid meal while friends visited
with each: other across the table.
• After dinner the teenagers
became engaged in a game of
horseshoe pitching, while Eugene
Walden conducted a short business
meeting, and suggested that some
might like to speak to those
present. Rev. Duncan MacTavish,
87 years of age, from London,
expressed his pleasure in ,•peing
present, and the joy of, hailing his
son John from•R Arizona, who had
arrived in London on 'Saturgay
night, and, his two grandsons froth

The day was a happy and a
memorable one and a genuine
thank you to the Lowrys and
Waldens who had 'contributed so
much to make it thus, was
expressed by everyone.
