"Our swine nutrition. tests include many formulations •
for starting pigs;' reports Bob Robson, Assistant
Manager, Shur-Gain Research Farm, "but we find.our
No. 10 Starter remains a• winner for general use. h
consistently turns out healthy, cgrchrthy litters of pigs
averaging about 50 lbs, at nine weeks.
"Pig' Starter. No.10 is introduced as soon as 5 lbs.
per pig of Shur-Gain •Creep Feed is consumed. Creep•
Feed is vital, to high performance but of course it's the
40-50 lbs. of No. 10 Starter that produced the 9.35
weaned litter average."
Why don't you choose Shur-Gain Pig Starter
No.10?

Since those hot days last mid
week, two kinds of trees are out in
full bloom. One is the native
basswood with . its spicy scented
blossoms and found through this
area. The other is an exotic or
planted type of tree - the catalpa
with ,- its big leaves ., and showy
fragrant flowers. Here in Ripley
there' is one • near the chapel in
Ripley Cemetery and there are two
or more at the farm' of Cecil and
Norma Humphrey on the 2nd
concession west inn Huron. Town-
ship. It is nice to learn that
scientists now have a fungicide to
moimm*iimarimmorY
control "dieback" disease on the
sugar maples. However, it is. too
late for many of the nice sugar
maples in Ripley, including two
more in . Gore Park.
