Mary R.• MacDtmaid and Mrs. Violet Mac- Kenzie, both 'of. Ripley and Mrs. Alice Nimmo and Mrs. Roy Geddes, both of Kincardine. The ladies report 'it was a 'splendid all star trip with good yeather all the time. Some places they visited were Cincinnati, Nashville, Pensa- cola, New Orleans, South Padre, San Antonio, across the Rio Grande at Brownsville in Texas to Mata- mOras in Mexico, then back through Texai • to Texarkana. In . Nashville, Tennessee on the return trip" :the bus party attended the Grand Ole Oprey and •.enjoyed the concert very much. Taking part in it were three Canadians.. Then they left the country music behind .and travelled homeward bound throtigh Kentucky to Ohio and the city of Cincinnati. Ripley area folks are glad. to • know that Mrs. Hamilton MacKin- non was recently able to return home.• Annie had•been a patient in Kincardine •and District Hospital. Congratulations go to Bryan. Boyle, son of Francis and Irene Boyle of concession 10 east in Huron Township. Bryan was recently selected as one of the four Ontario , Junior. Farmers for the annual planned tour in Britain. A few years back Jim Needham, also of the tenth of Huron, made this tour. Bryan's tour dates are May 31 to July. 15 as reported by 'the 'Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food in the Parliament, uildings in Toronto. The Ripley Junior Farmers held their annual car wash and cleaning at the new Huron Township garage at the east end of Malcolm Street. They had direction signs on the 15th at the north end of Ripley at the old Diamond Jubilee arena pOinting to the east end of Malcolm Street. ' * * * * * 25th ANNIVERSARY Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs: Reis Miltenburg who celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a family gathering and dinner at their home on the 9th concession of Ashfield Township on Saturday, April 17. Reis and Marie were married in 'London on April 14, 1951. They have a family of 4 boys and 4 girls who were all present for the celebrations.
