Members. of the Lucknow Atone
Hockey' team and it'their families
closed the 1975-76 hockey. season
'with a social evening, the meal
prepared by the mothers 'of team
members. The event took, place at
TrinitY United Church on Thursday
evening of last week.
The coach 'and manager of the
team, Harold Greer and Tony'
JohnStone, were gesented with
gifts in appreciation of their time
given throughout the season.
Paul rvlacIntyre was presented
With the most valuabledefeneeman
trophy. The new trophy is in
memory of his father, the late Allan
MacIntyre, and is to be presented
yearly to the most valuable
defenceman on the Atom, Hockey
team. The winner of the trophy
also receives a smaller one to keep
for himself. The presentation was
made by Mrs. 'Allan Maclntyre and .
Tony Johnstone.
Highlite of the evening was the
presentation of hockey jackets to
each member of the team. The -
jackets were given to the boys by
the late Allan Maclntyre. .Mrs.
Maclntyre made the presentation.
Bill 'Hunter, chairman of Luck-
now Recreation, was present and
spoke a few words.
Brian Stewart captured both high
single and triple with scores of 253

'Elect' Officers

Members of the Ripley Curling.
Chlb gathered on' Monday evening
last to elect officers and' to hear-
reports on the winter's activities.
President Jim MacDonald 'and
treasurer Jene Seller reported a
very successful season in which the
compressor was replaced and paid
for. Twenty-three new members
were enrolled as well as twenty-six
new members in • the ladies'
section. All executive offiCers were
re-elected to anotheit term. Jim
MacDonald will continue as presid-
ent, and Sandy PylacCharles as
immediate past president.. Murray
Culbert is club secretary and Jene
Seller the treasurer. Vice-presid-
ents are Bert. Elliott' and Elmer
Courtney and the executive is
composed of Clarence Pollock, Carl
Funston, Don Paquette Sr. and
Gary Courtney.
Conveners of the various 'com-
•mittees will be: Draw - Don McLay
for the men and Janice Hodgins for
•the ladies; Bonspiels - Donald
MacTavish; lee - Harry Colling;
Building - Bill Peterbaugh; High
School - John Coiling; Nominating -
John C. MacDonald. Auditors will
be Jim West and Allister MacKay.
Judy Van 'Kooten was.appointed
to, 'the Bonspiel committee replac-
ing Sharon CoUrtney who ,t has
served faithfully for the past two
years. Evelyn Coiling, president of
the Ladies' club, reported a very
successful season and thanked
the weekend with their grandpar-
ents. •
