meeting on Tuesday, April 6th with
skipping_ games followed by "My
'Grandmother Went to Paris".
Fairy Queen was Rosalea "Cam-
eron and she set up the toadstool
for Brownie Ring.. The Brownies
hopped their Brdwnie Gold and
Tawny Owl did inspection for clean
hands. Everyone joined together in
the Brownie Prayer.

to a disc injury.
Mrs. Mary Bere is in Victoria
Hospital, London, where she was
taken by ambulance on Sunday.

having spent several winter months
in Florida. On their return they
visited members of their family in

Wednesday evening, April 7th,.
was the annual Open House at the
Ripley, Huron Central School.
There was a large crowd of parents
and friends in attendance. First
'the parents gathered" in • the
auditorium to view a film and'then
they wept . into the .clasSroom to
observe the children 'at • work and
see, the work on their bulletin
boards. At the end of the evening
the pupils'entertained with songs
under the direction of Miss Jean
Campbell.' They were well received
by- the audience bringing the
successful evening to, a close.

A welcome was extended to all
and the meeting opened with a
poem "the triumph of Easter". All
joined in singing ,-the hymn "0
dearest Lord thy sacred head".
Mrs. Eric, Thacker gave the
scripture reading. This was
followed by prayer and the Lord's
prayer in unison. Mrs. Howard
norripson gave the meditation on'
Easter which was the theme of the
meeting.
The secretary, Mrs; Ronald .
Thacker, read the correspondence.
Iniiitations,, were accepted from
Lucknow A C W. and Kinlough
W.M.S. to join with them for their
Easter Thankoffering meetings and
also a letter about the Diocesan
Annual meeting to be held in
London on' May 6th. The roll call
was well • responded to by 16
members each contributing a
suitable number for the program
with the ,Easter theme., Mrs.
Gertrude Walsh thanked everyone
for remembering her during the
past months..
The May meeting will, be held at
the home of Mrs. Roy Collins 'May
13th in the afternoon, at 2 o'clock
rather than 8 p.m. Mis.„DaVid
Haidenby and Mrs. MicIford Wall
are conveners. Rev. George
Garratt closed the meeting with
prayer.
,During the afternoon a quilt was
quilted.. „Refreshments were served
by Mrs. Gertrude Walsh,, who took
Mrs. George Graham's place (who
was unable to be present),' and
Edna arid May Boyle.
