, MRS. JESSIE WALKER
Mrs. Jessie Walker, 89, of
Twilight Haven, Petrolia, died
Sunday, April 4.
Mrs. Walker was born in
LuCknow, daughter of the late; Mr,
' and Mrs. William Barr. She was a
member of St. Andrew's Presbyter--
ian Church and the Collins Circle of
the church.
Her husband, William John
Walker, predeceased her in 1953.
She is survived by 2 sons,
Russell, Petrolia; Harold of Toronto
and a daughter, Mrs. Gordon
(Willmae) Lawson, Regina, Saskat-
chewan. 6 grandchildren and 2
great grandsons also survive.
She was by. 3 sist‘rs
and 4 brothers.
Funeral service was held from
the Don Bradley Funeral Home
with Rev. Fred Austen officiating.
" Interment was in Hillside Cemet-
erYi Pbeetra°rieiras. Pallbearers were Jack• Barr,,,
Wayne Roberts,, Morley Montieth,
Norman Wright, Leonard Brecken-
ridge, Forbes Ramsay.

Mr:. Coulter, area superintendent
from the Huron County Board'
Office at Clinton, was also in
attendance for the day.
Students interested, in special
hobbies set them up in the gym on
display.' Also, Mrs. Wills' demon-
strated the art of pottery making.
Mrs. Jefferson demonstrated/ Flor-
entine Stitchery in Room 9 and
Mrs.. Reed, school nurse, present-
ed a health talk in various rooms.

' Parents and students visited the
gym during the day' and many
favourable comments were receiv-.
ed.
Banquet to be held 'at the Ripley
complex on September 8.
The 4-H Achievement pay will
be held at Ripley District School on
May 15. The minutes of last year's
annual meeting were read and
annual reports of the standing
committees were given and handed
in to the secretary to be forwarded
to the district conveners. Mrs. Jim.
Lizmore gave the auditor's report.
Mrs. Ron Thacker' presented the,
slate of officers ' for 4976-77 and
Mrs. Glen Haldenby installed, the
new officers. •

which affects all of BrUce County south of,Amabel Township.
The purpose of the Plan is to provide land use planning
guidelines for development and a framework within which the
Councils and the Planning Board may carry out successive and
more detailed steps in the planning. process. It is intended that
this proposed Official Plan will be a guide to the general public
and all public and private agencies concerned with development
in the Planning Area.

danced since last fall 'on Tuesday
evenings, 'in Brbokside,School, with'
Glenn and Doris Patterson as
callers.
During the evening the gradu-
ates presented several Skits and
readings. -
Lunch was served to bring an
enjoyable evening to an end.
Guests attended from neighbour-
ing clubs at Clinton and Howick.
