A Thank
You Note
BY ENA STEER
In the Village of LueknOW, there's a
new Medical Centre,
And none of us know when its:
doOrs we will enter;
Lettis pause and reflect on the day'
that are past,',
For the world rushes on but meth-
' 'orieS will last.
Oft that. small cosy' office we'll
surely remember
In the months that will come, bee'.it
June/ or December! •
Where once in awhile we'd
ponder and fret
About the pain in our tummy, `was
it something we ate'.
So the doctor we'd see, his advice
we would follow
And soon feel much better when
the pills we did swallow-.
But then there were timeSwe'd just
have to wait
When emergencieS rose, doctor
called out in haste;
We'd sigh or we'd smile and some
would relate
On weather or friends and hope
we're not late .„
To get home to the family' and sup-'.
per to make;
Still we all knew in fink the Doctor
we'd see *
For their days are real busy, on that
• we ,agree!
He'd do all he could to put 'us at
ease •
As he checked with our file and
found out our need.
The nurses were smart, yet at
' times they would giggie
But very efficient when they gave
us, a' needle'!,
The secretary too is a 'real busy
lady
AS she keeps 'the• accounts 'and the
paper work tidy, .
And so we'remember the days that
passed by, •
Thegood and the ill,• the roy orthe•
cry, .:.
Lei us now beall thankful and feel
very proud ,
That we count as a person, net one
of the crowd;
That vklive near 'or in this 'small
Lucknovv Village,
Where we strive for the best, a,
:really true vintage:
'So to Dr. Corrin and Dr. McKim,
the nurses and staff
Yes all Of the team,
We'd like you to know these Words
are all, true
YOu mean•Much to Lucknow, you
all really dO!
But • we know you get weary and
often miss sleep
As you tend the sick folk, or on new
babies peep
Yet we Fare glad that you stayed
with us here
For you're held• in esteem by folks
far' and near.'
So now in this year 1970' we • all
enter
May God Bless yOu All, as you
serve in this Centre,
COMES NATURALLY
Happiness r has a unique way
of seekin*g out those who are too
busy to look 'for it.
