The game "Kangaroo Court" was presided over by Paiti-lou Irwin and Irene Reit- . knecht. • , • President Joanne Ritchie led in ,the CGIT purpose,* verse and hymn. The secretary's report was read and a 'letter of thanks from National C.G.I.T. for the Vesper Service offering., The.treasurer's. :reported and received the offering. The girls and ' leadere were, thanked for helping with lunch when Joanne Koeslag spoke and showed slides on Sunday. Projects for this year were discussed: third study -will be sports, Easter eggs will be made in April,, a movie for children will be shown •March 20, w Teesater C.G.1.T. is invited for cheWorld Day of Prayer Service on March 1 and we hope to sing on • Si i ngtime, n the spring. The MissiOn Study, "Mary Ellen Goes to China" was introduced. The girls heard about Mary Ellen, a • ' iigh school, girl from Cobourg who %'ent with a. group to China. In heir groups the girls had a quiz on .:hina, an isolation exercise in 'eelings of trust, and distrust between people and 'countries..`' The meeting closed with Taps. Mrs, K. K. Dawson opened the -meeting with a prayer for the new year: Mrs.. Jim Drennen gave a reading , entitled , "Happy New Year". Mrs. Dawson read "A New Year's Wish For. Each of Us", Mrs: Logtenberg thanked Mrs. Dobson for the use of her home. Mrs. HoWard Culbert has been added to the Social functions committee and Mrs. Robt. Irvin is the card'secretary, so please let her know if you know of anyone sicLor in hospital. Anyone wishing to order boxed cards please contact 'Mrs. -Graham McNee. Many thank-you notes were received for gifts at Christmas. It was decided to discontinue gifts to, people in ` hospital. 'Cards will be sent to the 'sick and gifts to the shut-ins' at Christmas, The finance committee reported on the financial position and money.making projects for 1976. The address of welcome was given by Mrs.' ,Gordon Wall, president of the local group. ' Minutes of 1975 annual meeting were read by Mrs. Ewan MacLean. The treasurer's report was present- ed by Mrs. Evan Keith °who stated the allocation to be. $$11,220 and the supply $846. Excellent reports were given by all conveners. The ladies adjourned for lunch at noon' and a delicious meal was provided by the. local ladies. Rev. R. Armstrong said grace. • • The afternoon session was open- ed with hymn 386 and devotions were in charge of Mrs. Beirnes, Molesworth and Mrs. Brush Of Gorrie. • • Greetings from Presbytery were brought by the Rev. Doug McDon- ald 'of Port Elgin, moderator of the Presbytery, who also holds an Honourary Life Membership of the Women's Missionary. Society.
