blind appeal
Saturday,a. Sept. 17, marks the
beginning of the Annual Tri-
Cotanty Campaign for the Blind.
This year the Canadian National
Institute for the Blind requires
$6,000.00 to continue its 4R. serv-
ice program to the 66 blind men,
women and children in Huron
Rehabilitation, recreation, resi-
dential care and research pro-
vide the blind with effective
means of coping with their tragic
disability. These 4-R's are vital
to the blind.

The Zurich Citizens News was
one of 35 weeklies which re-
ceived awards at the annual con-
vention of the Canadian Weekly
Newspapers Ase'n in Vancouver
this week.
The Zurich paper placed third !
in. besteall-around competition.

(Alta.) News and the Squainish
(B.C.) Times.
The Citizens News was the
only Huron newspaper to receive

She is survived by two daugh-
ters: Mrs, Orval. (Lena) Pow-
ell, RR 2 Goderich, and Marion
Calwell, Grand Bend, and one
brother, Robert A. McAllister,
Goderich.
The funeral service was held
at the Stiles funeral home, Go-
derich, on Saturday, September
10 with interment in Maitland

Mrs. Alfred Belanger, 43, of
Corunna, the former Thelma
Reilly of Elimville, died in St,
Joseph's Hospital, Sarnia, on
September 12.
She is survived by her hus-
band, two daughters, Patty and
Dianne; three sons, Ricki, Art
and Danny all at home; her fa-
ther, Leonard O'Reilly; a sister
Mrs. Lee (Maisie) Chrypko,
Calgary and one brother, Irwin
O'Reilly of Corunna.
