Mrs. Irwin of Dungannon, who
has been staying with Mrs. T. G,
Hemphill, fell down the stairway
on. Friday, suffering painful in- ,
juries., Mrs, Irwin was taken to
Wingham General Hospital by
ambulance.
FUNERAL MONDAY
FOR J. B. MORRI SON '
A,Mernber of one of the pioneer
families of Kinioss Township and
for many years a respected resi-
dent of that district, died in the
Brantford Hospital on Friday.
was 'James Brown Morrison,
son of the late John and Letitia
Morrison.' He had been ill for
about two weeks prior. to his'
death,
Mr,' Morrison was "born at
Langside In 1872,• his parents, be-
ing among the earliest settlers in
the township. In 1901 be was
married at Wingham to Eleanor
May Hesston and they farmed on
the Morrison homestead until
their removal to Whitechurch in
p20. The couple went to Brant-
ford in 1950, to live with a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Morrison passing away
in 1954,
He was a charter member of
the Canadian Order of Foresters
at Langside and for many years
acted as recording secretary of
the lodgo. A staunch Conserva-
tive, the family was also interest-
ed in the ,Langside Presbyterian
Church, which Was built on their
farm, as were the manse and the
'school, For many years Mr,
Morrison was chairman of the
school hilards both at Langside
and at Whitechurch.,
Surviving are three sons, Thom-
as at Whitechurch; John on the
homestead; James at Essex; three,
daueliters, Mrs. Donald C. (Eva)
