for the latter meeting,

course and told how a small com-
munity working together could
provide this service for the child-
ran, He explained the necessity
for the three villages and town-
ship to work together in order to
have a worthwhile number of
children. Arranging of transport
tation could he the work of ser-
vice clubs.

send a representative to a meeting
to be held in the Orange Hall,
March rith at, 8.30 p.m. School
boards, school teachers, commun-
ity clubs, Lions Club and Wo-
men's Institutes are needed if this
project is carried out.

11 0 CLINTON JUNIORS
The Huron County 'Junior Farm-
ers' Association welcomed a large
crowd on Thursday night when the
third annual drama festival was
held in the Clinton District Col-
legiate Inatitete.
Competing for top honors were
the Clinton Junior Farmers and
junier Institute and the Howick
Juniors, The 'Clieton group had
previously taken first place in
South Huron, and the Howick club
Won in a competition at Gorrie last
week against Janior Farmer
groups in the northern section of
the county.
The adjudicators, Robert Mer-
cer, Nils Hanssmarin and Tom
Pollock from the O.A.C, at Guelph,
chose the , Clinton presentation of
"The First Dress-Suit", as the win-
ner. The cast was made up of Ivan
McClymont as Teddy Harding;
Lois Jones as Mrs. Harding; Ruth
Brown playing the role of Betty
Harding and Stan Johns east as
Johnny Drake. The play was dir-
ected by Mrs. Elizabeth Sterling'
Haynes of Clinton, fopncler of the
Banff School of Fine Arts and
former director of drama with the
Edmonton Little Theatre.
Ti V. Edgar was, the director
of "Shotgun Wedding", the Howick
entry. Parts were played by Aud-
rey O'Krafka, Glenn McMichael,
Ethel Ries, Ron McMichael, Jack
Stafford, Jean Lohr and. Dorothy
Toner. ,
