house for blood; kept at certain

results, in most
instances, are virtually miraculous,,
and time., and again hospital :pat-
ients who have been on the brink,
of eternity, have -..quickly respond-
ed to a ,transfusion,, and, in a few
days, have been restored to normal
health.
The .'first reported attempt at a
transfusion with human : blood
dates back 'to 1654. But, up to; the
year, 1900. people had a bafflipg
habit of ' becoming violently 111 or'
