HEY, LADIES!
What's All the Rush About?
Who's selling what for half price?
Where are you all going in such a hurry?
Well, actually, nowhere.
The artist who drew this sketch was just
having a little fun. ,
He was imagining that this week we had
printed only one copy of this newspaper and had
announced that it would go to the person who got
to our office first.
Sort of sail() isn't it?
You know, as well as we do, that our news-
paper presses turn out hundreds of copies weekly
and that the post offices and the local vendors
will make sure you get your copy. .
As a matter of fact, yours is only one of over
two million Canadian families which each week
subscribe to a home town weekly paper.
And because there are so many Canadians in-
terested in their home town news, and because so
many businessmen know that newspaper aclvertis.
ing is the best and cheapest way of selling' goods
and services, instead of just one copy, there are
this week being printed in Canada over two million
weekly newspapers like the one you are now hold-
ing.
