returned home after •spending two

eron in honor of Miss Zora Cameron,
bride-elect.

days at Fenelon Falls. She was ac-

who remained until Tuesday.

Civic Holiday with Mrs. Lena Wat-
son, in Brussels, and last Sunday
with her sister, Mrs. John Fraser, 2nd
Con, Grey.
Mrs W. F. Burgman spent a few
clays fast week-end at Bruce Beach.
Mr. and Mrs Joe Schneider, of
Wingham, and Mr and Mrs John
McGlynn, and son Billy, of Tees-

ronto, and Mr. Malcolm Kerr, from
Lanark, Scotland, are spending a
few days visiting with Mrs. Mutrie's
sister, Mrs. Jean Crump, Diagonal

-Mrs. David Benedict has return-
ed from a trip to the Western pro-
vinces, where she spent five weeks
visiting her 'nephews in Alberta and
her two nieces in Kelowna, Okanagan
Valley, B.C.
-Mr. and Mrs. Jim McBurney re-
turned home last week after spend-
ing an enjoyable couple of months at
the west coast. They spent a week
at Banff, enjoying several swims in
the hot sulphur springs, and also
took in the Calgary Stampede.
-Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robinson
and Russell motored to Toronto on
Sunday last, and her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Stuart MeBurney, of Victoria
St., who have spent the past month
with Vancouver and Victoria rela-
tives, returned home with them,
Recent guests with Dr. and Mrs
F. A. Parker were Miss Lottie Ham-
mond, of Port Hope, and Mrs.
Letheren, of Atwood. Miss Hammond
is a former member of the Wingham
High School staff and will be re-
membered by many.
-Miss Donna Litt, of London, spent
ten days at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Wenger. She returned on Sun-
day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
E. 3. Litt, who visited their daughter,
Mrs. Wenger. The latter has been
confined to the hospital here for the
past three weeks.
Walkerton has returned from a trip
of nearly 4,000 miles bringing Henry
Haugh, RR 3, Elmwood, here from
Moose Jaw, Sask. Haug is alleged to
have, by way of three car "deals,"
worked a '47 Pontiac Into a '52 Olds
mobile. The 'o2 model was obtained
from Brown Brothers' Garage, Kin-
cardine. Haug was apprehended in
Moose Jaw a week after his final
car deal. He 'will appear in Walker-
ton pollee court next Thursday.
