Blyth People Mr. and Mrs. Art Fielding of London visited with Melda Mc­ Elroy last Saturday after seeing the play “Local Talent” which they thoroughly enjoyed. Joanne as a little girl, lived in Blyth with her parents, Dave and Gertrude Hynds. Her grandmother and step-grandfather were the late Ethel and Leonard Cook, a highly respected couple of this commun­ ity. Last Sunday, Ted and Jayne Hoogsteen of Brantford visited Melda McElroy, a former Blyth neighbour. Rev. Clerk-treasurer Helen Grubb raised the issue, saying council should perhaps be looking at seeking additional grants from the Ministry of Transportation over several years for a program to rebuild the road. She said the engineer had recommended that council consider curb and gutters for the street when it is rebuilt. It will make the road stand up better, she said.
