All the plans and approvals for the two sites have beep submitted to the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Mr. Leslie said. He anticipated it would take a few weeks to receive Ministry approval. Meanwhile the Ministry official most familiar with the Huron plans, Linda Girard, has been seconded to the Provincial office of the Ministry for a year and Lossie Fuller, deputy-reeve of Exeter, worried this might complicate the situation. Mr. Lester said Ms. Girard’s replacement, Jim Hignett is both familiar with the Huron plans and also with Huron, having supervised seniors housing in the county. Mr. Lester and Mr. Hignett met May 8 to discuss the plans.***** A cap placed on the amounts that can be charged by municipal homes for the aged will have no effect on Huronview, Mr. Lester said.
