Canada Employment Centre
for Students open yesterday
The Canada Employment Centre
for Students Exeter office opened
May 1 in anticipation of student
and employer demands. The
Goderich office has been serving
students and employer clients since
the beginning of March and has
already successfully placed several
students.
The Canada Employment Centre
for Students offers several services
to both students and employers
including recruitment of qualified
labour, addressing questions re
garding the summer labour mar
ket, assisting students in their job
search, and offering tips on resume
writing and interview skills. Stu
dents are encouraged to register as
soon as possible to increase their
employability.
In order to make their services
more accessible to students in the
Clinton and Seaforth area, again a
Student Outreach Program has
been co-ordinated in which Canada
Employment Centre for Student
representatives set up at Central
Huron and Seaforth District Secon
dary Schools one day each a week,
Tuesday and Thursday, respective
ly-
Agriculture accounts for the
majority of positions available.
Another target group this year is
homeowners. Should you require
your garage cleaned, your lawn
raked or any casual labour job, you
will discover that eager capable
youth are available to service your
needs. No job is too small.
Currently university and college
students are returning home in
pursuit of employment to finance
their future education costs. The
two Employment Centres will be
staffed by three post-secondary
Student Placement Officers as well
as one Supervisor. For more infor
