On August 5th, the re-union of the frowth of the beautiful maple trees
surrounding the school grounds.
A series of stunts was prepared for
the younger folk. but it was difficult
to keep the "old folk" out of things.
At bean bag toss Jack Johnston was
really terrific, but for sheer accuracy,
Cameron Simmons of London was the
limit, Don't ever pitch against Cam,
he "knocks the bunny" every time,
Tying ribbon bows is cat's play fog
Clarence Borho of Wingham. He got
first prize with Mrs. Geo. Johnston,
Mrs. Chas, Shaw, Mrs. Cliff Irwin and
Tsabell Matheson tying for 2nd. place,
Stringing peanuts all the girls had
nimble fingers with needle and thread,
but Jack Johnston and Frank Shaw
are very "light" fingered when it
come to swiping peanuts, Hope they
don't try any of their sleight-o'-hand
stunts in their respective towns, Pol-
ice are quite allergic to any such
ideas.
The balloon bursting contest was
such a "bursting fine time" the sec-
retary missed jotting down the win-
oners but Bob Johnston, Charlie Show
U and Jack MacDonald were in the

ner, Brenda Shaw a busy little brun-
ette and Nancy Simmons of London,
a dainty blonde Miss of four years,
Oldest lady was Mary Johnston of
Kincardine, the prize for the oldest
gentleman went to Mr. K. A. Math-
eson of Kincardine.
Couple coming the farthest were:
Mr. and Mrs, Jack Johnston of Kin-
cardine. On Saturday they were
guests at the Finnegan-Irwin wedd-
ing in Runnymede Baptist Church, 0 later coming on the night train to
11 Brussels.
Supper was served on the lawn by

Three Generations Gather'
For Johnston Re-union
Johnston family, took the form of a
picnic on the lawn of Sandy and Mrs.
Johnston, at the old home, 2nd. Con,
of Grey Township. Coming from Lon-
don, Lucan, Hickson, Wingham, Brus-
sels and district and Kincardine,
forty home-corners of three genera-
tions, gathered in the shade of the tall
spruces to greet each other and visit
together.
The nearby school, S. S. No. 4,
Grey, where the older generation
learned their "reading, writing and
'rithmetic" was thoroughly inspected
and changes noted, especially in the

Wawanosh Council
Approves Protest
of Deer Season
East Wawanosh council met Aug.
7th with all the members present, the
Reeve presiding. Minutes of the
meeting held July 3 were read and
adopted on motion of Campbell and
Taylor.
Correspondence was read from the
East Wawanosh Federaton of Agri-
culture, stating that they were not
in favour of an open deer season in
the Township this Fall, was approved
by the Council and a motion by
Campbell and Robertson instructing
the Clerk to write to the proper au-
thorities to this effect was passed.
A letter was read from the County
of Huron concerning a reforestation
by-law passed by the' County at the
June Session . This was ordered filed
pending requests from property own-
ers to plant trees.
W. S. Gibson was present and ad-
dressed the meeting en the subject
of insurance. The new Municipal
Liability Policy to come into effect
Sept. 8 was accepted on motion of
Robertson and McGowan.
Moved by Taylor and Campbell that
the Road and General Accounts as
presented he passed and paid. Car-
tied.
