brother-in-law of the groom, was

Following the ceremony a reception
for about fifty guests was held at the
home of the bride's parents. The
guests were received by the bride's
mother, wearing a dress of nav,y blue
with apricot accessories, assisted by
the groom's mother dressed in grey
with a coral corsage.
The bride and groom left for a
honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, the
bride wearing a skipper blue suit of
gabardine, a wine shortie coat and
white accessories, On their return
they will reside on the groom's farm

Providence Bay, was beautifully de-
corated with spring flowers and white
hells for a pretty June wedding when
Clara Mae Gordon, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Elmo Gordon of Jet Kum-
mall, became the bride of Harvey
Clifford Jenkins of Wingham, The
ceremony was solemnized by Elder
Andrew Beaudin of Providence Bay,
cousin of the bride. '
The bride entered the church on
the arm of her father to the strains
orthe wedding march played by Ales,
Etha Caddatte, aunt of the bride.
The bride looked lovely dressed
blue nylon with white aeccesorics,
bouquet of white roses and lily-of-the-
valley, Marie McCauley, friend of the
bride was bridesmaid, dressed in
yellow nylon with white accessories
and pink corsage. Jean Campbell,
friend of the bride, was maid of hon-
our, dressed in pink taffeta with
black accessories and pink corsage.
Bill Jenkins of Wingham, was his
brother's best man. Joe Troupe of
Teeswater, friend of the groom, was
groomsman.
While the wedding party signed
the register Mrs. Cadatte tang very
beautifully, "I'll Walk Beside •You."
After the ceremony the wedding
party returned to the bride's home
where a buffet luncheon was served
to relatives. The bride's mother were
green gabardine with white accessor-
ies and American Beauty corsage, the
groom's mother was in yellow nylon
with white accessories and bronze
corsage,
After leaving for Wingham on the
Norisle for a short honeymoon, the
young couple will return to the Island
for a short time.
The groom's gift to the bride was
a lovely compact; the bride's gift to
the groom, a cigarette 'lighter and
case. Her gifts to the bridesmaids
were lovely .purses, The`groom's gifts
