No. 9, Kinloss, had a real treat when,
through the invitation of their teach-
er, Miss Grace Moir, Rev, and Mrs,
F. X. Stanley, returned missionaries
from Nigeria, Africa, came to the
school and gave them an interesting
talk on their work among the nat-
ives there, demonstrating the habits
and mannerisms of the people
through a wonderful display of Afri-
can regalia and curios. The ladies of
the section were also invited to at-
tend. Rev, and Mrs. Stanley have
spent forty-two years in Africa and
have seen many changes for the het-
i ter in that country through the ef-1 forts of the missionaries and the
power of Christ.
Mrs. John Falconer of Caledon, is
visiting at the home of her son, Mr.
James Falconer, who is seriously ill
in Wingham Hospital, after taking a
stroke a week ago.
Miss Olive Terriff, Reg. N., is nurs-
ing Mr. John MacMillan of Lucknow,
this week.
Quite a number of the ladies of the
local Institute were at Reid's Corners
on Tuesday attending the district an-
nual meeting held there.
The play "Have a Heart" presented
by the young people of Harriston
Anglican Church in the Memorial
Hall here on Monday in connection
with anniversary services in the Un-
ited Church, proved very interesting
and full of merriment, and each of
the cast of six acted his or her part
exceptionally well. Clifford Coultes of
Belgrave, entertained with splendid
readings between acts.

and son, Bob, of Welland, spent Satur-
day at London, where they attended
the graduation exercises -.Lt Western
University, where their daughter,
Miss Mildred Patricia, received her
B.A. degree and they spent the week-
end at his old home in E. Wawanosh
with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wightrnan.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wightman this
month celebrate their twenty-first
wedding anniversary, and Mr, and
Mrs. Leslie Wightman their twentieth
anniversary and relatives gathered on
Sunday at the Wightman home and
surprised each couple with a remem-
brance, Among those present were

ily, Mr. and Mrs. Ross McRoberts and
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Corbett, of Lucan,

In spite of the rainy evening, quite.
