onto, spent this week with her bro-
ther, TioY and Mrs, Turvey. Mrs. Mi-
shaw and Mrs. Turvey attended the
94th birthday party for their aunt,
Mrs. H, L. Bosnian at the home of her
daughter, Mrs, R, H, Lloyd of Wing,
,ham, Mrs. Bosnian was a resident of
Bleevale for many years.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hoffman and
Joyce were at Crecliton on sunday and
attended the Centennial services at
the Evangelical United Brethren
Church, of which they are members,
Mrs. Russel of Exeter, is the guest
of Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Nichol.
Mr. and Mrs, Thomas E, Henry,
Stratford, visited with Miss Sander-
son and her friends, Miss May Orr
and Miss Jean Gordon of Toronto, at
the Sanderson home.
Bernard Lillow is recuperating with
his mother, Mrs, Nellie Lillow, follow-
ing an operation at St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London.
Jim McKinney, Toronto, spent the
holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
R. E. McKinney.
Mr. and Mrs, Raymond Elliott, Mr.

gomery of Wawanosh, spent the 24th

The 49th annual meeting of the East
Huron District Women's Institute will
be held in the United Church, Blue-
sale, on Wednesday, June 6th., with
forenoon and afternoon sessions. Vis-
itors will be welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. John Bosman and
two sons of Dutton, spent the week-
end with his father, Mr. Henry Ros-
man, who held an auction sale of his
household effects on Saturday after-
noon. Mr, Bosnian has disposed of his
farm to his son, Charles, who has
possession and will move his house-
hold effects in the very near 'future.

Mr. and Mrs. George Henderson,
Janice and Jimmie, Wingham, were
Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Sellers.
Don Darling, Mr. and Mrs. George
Valiance, Toronto, spent the week-end
with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Darling,
Mr. George Newman has disposed of
his home in Harriston, and is with
his daughter, Mrs. Darling and Stan-
ley for an indefinite time, His health
isn't very good at the present time.
Mrs. Jack Davies is spending this
week with her sister, Mrs, Elmer
Sellers.
Mr, and Mrs. Harry Watson, Water-
loo, were holiday visitors with their
aunt, Mrs. W. 3. Johnston.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hesson, Strat-1
ford, visited with their cousin, Rich-1
and Johnston and his daughter,
Emma, visitors at the same home in-
cluded Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnston
and Mrs. W. J. Johnston,

for Donald James, son of Mr. and

in .keeping with the baptismal vows,
was based on the text, "Thou shalt
teach them diligently and shalt talk
to them when thou sittest in thine
house, and when thou waikest by the
way, when thou Best down and ,when
thou risest up," stressing the import-
ance of Christian living in the home,
and its influence on,"the family, The
choir sang "Let the Little Ones Come
unto Me."

ing from pneumonia,
Good crowds attended the anni-
versary services in the Presbyterian,
Church on Sunday, when Rev. R. H.
MacMillan of Goderich was the guest
aneaker, The choir rendered apecial
anthem with Mrs. ,john McGee as
leader.
Service in the Presbyterian Church
here will 'he withdrawn next Sunday
on account of the anniversary services
in the United Church. Rev. Dr, Mum-
ford of Lucknow United Church will
be the guest speaker, and all are
cordially invited to attend, On Monday
evening the drama, "Have a Heart.,"
will be presented in the Memorial
Hall here, by the Young People of
the Harriston Anglican Church.
Mr, and Mrs. Harold Mason and
Keith of Kincardine, and Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Mason of Listowel, visited
on Sunday with their parents, Mr,
and Mrs, John Mason.
Anniversary services -will be held
in Brick United Church on Sunday,
June 17, with Rev, Mr. Scott of Blyth,
as speaker.
Dr. Wilfred Robinson of Dryden,
visited last week for a few days with
his mother, Mrs, Wm, Robinson, at
the home of Mr. and Mrs, John Kil-
patrick, Lucknow, and visited around
the old home on the .9th, renewing
acquaintances:
Mrs, Orval Newby and Dorothy of
London, spent a few days last week
with her parents, Mr, and Mrs, Wal-
ter Lott, and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Lott and daughters of Waterford,
spent Sunday there.
Mr. Clayton Scholtz was able to re-
turn home from Wingham Hospital
on Saturday after -a, seige of pneum-
onia.

Dies At St. Thomas
Mrs. Lillian Marlatt died on May
22nd,, at her home in St. Thomas. She
had been in ill health for some length
of time and suffered a heart attack,
She was a native of Belmore, the only
daughter of the late Rev. David and
Mrs. Rogers, and former Methodist
minister here. She attended Bluevale
public school and was a favorite
among her many friends. She leaves 1
to mourn her passing, her husband,
Frank H, Marlatt, St, Thomas, and
one brother, Fred C. Rogers, Hamil-
ton, Funeral service was held at the
L. B. Sifton funeral home, St, Thomas, I
on Thursday, May 24th, Interment in I
the St, Thomas cemetery.

spent the week-end with her mother,
Mrs. David Kennedy.
Mr. Ezra Welwood was in Westmin-
ster Hospital one day undergoing
treatment,
Mrs. Leonard Coyne of Windsor,
spent the week-end at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Mason Robinson and ,
with other Robinson relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson and
Keith moved on Saturday from Eel-
grave to their East Wawanosh farm.
Mr. Eric Cone of Burlington, spent
the week-end at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Lawrence Taylor.
Mr. Joe O'Callahan and Mr. Frank
O'Callahan and his son, Danny, and
their sister, Mrs, Frank O'Shea, all of
Detroit, visited on Saturday at the
home of Mr. Jas. Martin, and Mr, and
Mrs. Chas. Martin and with other old
neighbors.
Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falconer spent I
Sunday with her grandparents, Mr,
and Mrs. Bert Jackson of Morris,
where her other grandressther, Mrs.
Montgomery, has been seriously ill
during the past week.
Mr. Will Henry and his men com-
menced work at Mr. Bill Rintoul's
on Monday. He is building a new part
to the stable and barn above it.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ross of Tees-
water, visited on Sunday with their
aunt, Mrs. Wm. Taylor,
Rev. and Mrs. W, J. Watt and Mrs.
Millan Moore, and Rev. and Mrs, Robt.
Watt of Gorrie, Mr. Harry McClena-
ghan, Belgrave, were in London on
Tuesday where they attended the
graduation exercises for the graduat-
ing nurses in Victoria Hospital. Miss
Muriel Watt is one of the graduates
and her many friends here will extend
congratulations on her achievement.
Mrs. George McClenaghan and Miss
Mildred McClenaghan, Mrs. Ben Mc-
Clenaghan, Mrs. Clarence McClena-
ghan and daughter, Beatrice, and Miss
Olive Terriff, visited with friends and
relatives at Kitchener on Monday.
Mr, and Mrs. Clarke MacGregor
and Bruce, spent the week-end at the
home of Mrs. MacGregor's sister in
Orillia.
Mr. Joe Tiffin has not been so well
during the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jas, Patersbit of Kit-
chener; spent the week-end at the
,ehrosme, of his brother, Mr. Albert Pat- on
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross and Mary
of Turnberry, made a trip to London
on Monday, where Mary had X-ray
treatments in Victoria Hospital on the
adenoid tissues of her nose
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cronin and
Jack of Caledon, spent the week-end'
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James
Falconer. Mr. Falconer, who has been
ill for the past three weeks, following
an attack of mumps, was taken by
ambulance to Wingham Hospital on
Sunday night. His mother, Mrs. John
Falconer, and sister, Mrs. Elgin Wol-
wood of Caledon are visiting here this
Week.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Shiell and Mr.
and Mrs, Frank Thompson visited
on Sunday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Finlayson of Egmondville. While
there they received word of the ac-
cident of Raymond Bennett and Mr.
and Mrs. Thompson's son, Sidney., Mr,
and Mrs. Thompson accompanied him
to Toronto Hospital, where he was
still unconscious from concussion and
his collar-bone was also broken. Doc-
tors had not operated on Monday and
hoped it would right itself soon. Their
many friends sympathize with Mr.
and Mrs. Thompson in their anxiety
over their son's condition.
Little Ronald McBurney, 2-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McBur-
ney of E. Wawanosh met with a pain-
ful accident last week. He apparently
had fallen on a stick with which he
had been playing and after cutting
his lip, it penetrated the soft palate
in the roof of his mouth.
Mr. and Mrs. George McGee brought
their baby, Linda Doreen, home from
the Wingham Hospital on Sunday.
Mr, and Mrs. Basil Davidson of Tor-
onto, visited at the McGee home over
the week-end,
Mr. and Mrs. Wrigley, who came
East to attend the Graduation Exer-
cises of their son-in-law, Dr. Richard
Irwin, held last week at 0. V. College,
Guelph, left Monday for their nome
in Vancouver. This was their first trip
East, and Mr. and Mrs. Wrigley really
fell in love with Ontario, with its
wonderful green landscapes and trees,
which are at their best in the spring
season.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Irwin of
Goderich, visited over the. week-end
at the home Of his brother, Mr. Her-
son Irwin.

and sons, spent Sunday at the home
of her sister, Mrs. Warwick of Mor-
ris,

Glamis, spent Sunday at the home

Presbyterian Church on Monday ev-
ening for the concert in connection
with the anniversary services, All on-
joyed Mr. Morkley's moving pictures
of his trip to Florida and, Mexico,
These colored pictures of nature, an-
imals and people, roads, boat trips,
mountains and ocean were a real
education, Mrs. Robert Mowbray gave
two humorous readings and the Bel-
grave male quartet sang two sacred
numbers along with other home tal-
ent, Rev. R. D. A. Currie' in his re-
marks mentioned the serious - illness
of Rev. Dr, Chas. MacDonald and Mr.
James Falconer in Wingham Hospi-
tal, Lunch was served and all enjoyed
the social time together:'
