of carrying up to 50 pounds on their backs, they will
be stationed at the Survival school at Fort Nelson,
B.C,, and will be used as sled and pack dogs for
ground search and rescue parties.

A lovely spring wedding was sol-
emnized at the Gorrie United Church,
on Saturday, May 12th., at 3 p.m.,
when Donna Margaret, youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anson Rut-
tan, Gorrie and Robert Ford Finlay,
son of Mrs, Finlay and the late David
Finlay of Wingham, were united in
marriage in a double ring ceremony,
Rev. J. R. Watt officiating.
Givenin marriage by her father, the
bride wore corded white taffeta, with
lily point sleeves, fitted boaice feat-

parlors and later the couple left on
a wedding trip to Manitoulin Island
and Northern Ontario. The bride wore
a grey suit, black straw hat with pink
trim, black bag and shoes. Her cor-
sage was of pink and white carnat-
ions.
Mr, and Mrs. Finlay will reside in
Seaforth. Guests from a distance were
from Toronto, Galt, Trenton and Fer-
gus.

A large congregation filled the.
United Church for the Mother`e Day
service on Sunday morning The fol-
lowing children were received into
the church by baptism; Rota Gail,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas, Dun-
bar; Helen Marie, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs, John Thornton. Rev. Watt
chose as his text, let. Samuel 2:19,
