Cyclone Sally a Smash Hit
The people of Fordwich and vicinity-
enjoyed a rare treat on Friday when
the Teeswater Junior Farmers and
Junior Institute invaded the town to
present the uproarious comedy hit
"CYCLONE SALLY". A capacity
house was kept in stitches by the
amazing antics of Mildred Keith play-
ing the title role and of Ken McKague
as Jack Webster the male lead. One
of the most important consistent per-
formers was Ran Hill, who made a
superb job of what was probably the
most difficult character part, that of
Reggie Manners, " A young English-
man adept at plucking peaches.,' It
was noticeable that whenever Reggie
spoke he brought down the house,
Also remarkable was that throughout
the whole performance not the sug-
gestion of a smile crossed his lips.
Watson Armstrong however was un-
excelled in his portrayal of Willie
Clump, "the eighth wonder of the
world" who thickened the plot heavily
whenever he appeared, by his contin-
ued clumsiness and fumbling- and by
the slight suspicion which he himself
gave that he may have been involved
with somebody's cider, to be in love as
well was more than enough to confuse
matters. Jim Jenkins who e, ailed
Jenny Thatcher in vain for twenty
years was delightfully done by Leo
Murray, and he was matched in
and wit by Marilyn Dagg, win) play-
ed jenny. Agnes Moffat, Gertie
