felt on Saturday to spend the week-
end at their cottage at Lions Head,
Miss Marilyn Morrison is visiting
in Toronto with her grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Thos. Buckton,
Mrs. John Falconer spent the week-
end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rus-
sel Ritchie, Langside.
Mr. and Mrs. John Haggitt, . Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Johnston and baby,
Chrissie of Detroit, spent last week
with Mr. annd Mrs. Will Ringler of
Fordyce and all visited with relatives
at Seaforth, Blyth Auburn and Goder-
kb.
Miss Margaret and Crawford Mc-
Neil of Woodstock, are visiting with
their grandmother, Mrs. Dan Martin
of W. Wawanosh.
Mrs. Elizabeth Hart of Windsor, is
spending this week at the home of her
brother, Mr. Will Ringler and with
Wroxeter friends.
The regular monthly meeting of the
Women's Institute was held on Tues-
day last in the Memorial Hall, with
-the President, Mrs. Ernest Casemore,
presiding. After the opening exercises,
the roll call was answered by, When
should you punish a child? Miss Olive
Trerriff gave a paper on Social Wel-
fare, Miss Joan Casemore played a
pia solo and Mrs. Albert Walters
read a very interesting paper on the
motto, The Government of the home
has greater influence. on moulding a
character than any other factor. Miss
lean Gaunt played a piano solo, and
Mrs. Fred Newman gave an interest-
hag review of the work of the Travel-
ling Library. Arrangements were
wade for a picnic in Augst to be held
at the home of Mrs. Jas. Falconer,
and the meeting was closed by all
singing the National Anthem.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Falconer spent
the week-end at Kincardine.
Mr. Robert Leaver returned home
from Wingham General Hospital on
Friday, and his father, Mr. Fred Leav-
er of Toronto, spent the week-end at
the home of Mr. Chas. Leaver.
Mr. Donald Watt, interne at Wes-
tern Hospital, Toronto, is spending his
holidays with his parents, Rev. and
Mrs. J, W. Watt.
Miss Faye McClenaghan of London,
is holidaying for two weeks with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCiena-
ghan and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss
Benny and Donald, of Bright, spent
the week-end there.
Mrs. F. L. Creighton, of Grace Hos-
pital Nurses Home Staff, Detroit,
spent the week-end with her mother,
Mrs. Andrew Kirk at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. J, D. Beecroft.
Miss Myrtle of St. Catharines and
Miss Mildred McClenaghan left from
Toronto last Monday to take the boat
cruise down the St. Lawrence to Mont-
real. They returned home this Mon-
day.
The Kerry and Majury families of
Paisley and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Coul-
tes and family attended a family picnic
at Formosa on Sunday, and Marjorie,
and Jack Coultes returned home after
spending two weeks in Paisley, and
Glen and Yvonne Majury returned
With them to visit here for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Munro of
Wroxeter, also Mrs. Beaton of Clin-
ton, a former resident of Whitechurch,
now in her ninetieth year, and her son,
Mr, Gifford Beaton of Oshawa and
daughter, Mrs. Watson, of Toronto,
visited with Mrs. Andrew Fox and
Miss Isabel Fox on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Henry of Luck-
now, and her uncle, Mr. Kenneth Mac-
Lean' of Winnipeg, visited on Thurs-
day at the homes of Mr. and Mrs.
.Gordon Rintoul and Mr, and Mrs.
Robt, Purdon.
Mr. Basil Davidson of Toronto,
spent last week with her parents, Mr,
and Mrs. Leask McGee and Mr, Dav-
idson spent the week-end here. Mrs. J.
M. Johnston and Miss Audrey John-
ston, nurse-hi-training in Windsor
Hospital, have been visiting for the
