don, on Wednesday, July 6th, to Mrs.
Stewart and the late Harry C. Stew-
art, a son.
The July meeting of the Women's
Institute will be held at the home of
Mrs, Nelson Higgins. Roll Call an
Industry of Huron County, and the
noire of a person prominent in that
Industry. Motto, by Miss Agnes Mas-
on, music by Miss Audrey Brad-
burn. An address will be given by
Mrs. Richard Procter on Canadian
Industries. Lunch, Mrs, A. E, Coultes,
Mrs. C. H. Wade and Mrs. H. Mc-
Guire,
Miss Lois Burchill of Wingham,
spent the week-end with Miss Mar-
jorie MacKenzie.
The regular meeting of the Ladies
Guild was held at the home of Mrs.
Robert Procter on Thursday of last
week. The President, Mrs. C. H,
Wade presided and opened with pray-
er, Mrs. Vannan read the scripture
lesson. Several aprons were brought
in also quilt blocks. At the conclusion
of the meeting lunch was served by
the hostess and a social half hour was
spent over the tea cups.
Rev. W. j, Moores of the United
Church, Belgrave, will exchange pul-
pits next Sunday with Rev. W. J.
Woolfrey, B.A., of Clinton Ontario
Street church. The service at Belgrave
will be held at 10.30 and at Brick at
11.45.
Next Sunday afternoon Rev. W, J.
Moores will leave for the Goderich
Summer School where he will con-
duct a course of Bible Study for the
Young People.
Last Sunday morning a large con-
gregation were present in the United
Church. A good attendance of the
Orange Lodge were present. The
church for this occasion was decorated
with orange' lilies. Mr. Moores was the'
speaker. The other local church con-
gregations were also present.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wilson of Port
Rowland, visited friends in Belgrave
on Sunday.
A twilight meeting will be held at
the home of the Procter Brothers in
connection with the Huron Crop Im-
provement Association on Monday
evening, July 18th., at 8.30. Lunch will
be served. Prbfessor Kiegan and Pro-
fessor James Bryden of Guelph, O.A.
C., will be the speakers. Everybody
welcome.
