Anniversary Services Brick church celebrated their 78th Anniversary of the church on Sunday with morning and evening services. The Rev. U, E. Cronhiedm of Wrox- eter was the Wrest speaker for the day. The church was beautifully de- corated with flowers for the occasion, The Belgrave choir was in charge of the music with Mrs. Geo. Johnson at the organ, In the morning, Mr. Ber- nard Rutledge was the soloist, sing- ing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Just For Today," In the evening a male quartette Messrs. Geo, Johnston, Ross Ander- son, Clifton Walsh and Earl Ander- son, sang' two numbers, "Heaven is My' Home" and "Almost Persuaded." The choir rendered the anthem, "Be Thankful." The choir was graciously entertain- ed for the clay at the homes of Gil- bert Beecroft, James Dow, Hcrson Irwin, Lawrence Taylor. Gregg Shiell. Chas, Shiell and Leslie Wightman, Dedication Service A dedication service for the newly installed electric lights will be held in Trinity Anglican Church, next Sun- day evening, June 26th, at 8 o'clock. The members of neighhouring congre- gations are invited to attend. Evening Auxiliary The June meeting of the Evening Auxiliary was held at the home of Mrs. Edgar Wightman with an at- tendance of fifteen. "Keeping the Lord's Day" was the theme of the worship service, The singing of the verses of hymn 188 alternated with scriptui'e readings by Mrs. Goe. Mention was made of the bale to be packed and an explanation of the leaflets used was given by the president, Mrs. Geo, ,Michie. Mrs. George Johnston offered her home for the July meeting to be held during the second week, Mrs. C, Logan, Mrs. R. J. MacKen- zie and Mrs. Geo. Professor Alfred Cook is a patient in Victoria Hospital, London, Miss Lorna Dunbar of Victoria Hospital, London spent the week-end at her home. .fr.
