the graduation ceremonies of the Ont-
ario Veterinary College, where her
son-in-law, \V, L. A. Wardlaw of -
Guelph, received the degree Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine, Mr. and Mrs.
Wardlaw returned with her to spend
a few days.

at his home here, after a serious opera-
tion in Victoria Hospital, London,
Mrs. Edwards is still a patient there,
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jeffray spent
last Sunday with Mr,„and Mrs. Clar-
ence Yuill at Belgrave.
ThesInstiute meeting has been post-
poned on account of the McIntosh
Garden Party. It will now be held on
June 15th in the Community Hall with
Mrs. Henderson of Wingham as guest
speaker. Roll Call, How and where I

Miss Joyce Darling, nurse-in-train-
ing at „Victoria Hospital, London,
spent the week-end with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Adam J. Darling.
On Sunday afternoon in Belmore
United Church, Rev. Mr. Martin had
the pleasure of baptizing his grand-
child, the baby daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Crawford Martin of Toronto.
Mrs. Hunkin, Mrs. Fraser, Miss M.
Jeffray, Mrs. Zinn and Mrs, Elmer
Jeffray attended the Women's Insti-
tute District Annual ,,at Whitechurch
on May 25th. Miss Anna P. Lewis of
the Toronto W.I. Dept, was guest
speaker and the Whitechurch ladies
entertained their guests royally.
Congratulattions go to Miss Betty
Abraham, who was one of a class of
97 to graduate from the Toronto Gen-
eral Hospital on May 26th. Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Abraham attended the
ceremony.
Our sympathy goes out to Mrs.
Thos. Mundell, who fell last week
and broke her leg and is now a pat-
ient in Wingham G6neral Hospital.
Rev. Sinclair of Toronto, represent-
ing the Temperance Federation, spoke
in the Belmore Presbyterian Church
on Sunday. The pastor,.. Rev. Jorgen-
sen preached Anniversary services in
Ashfield.
Rev, S, Howard King of the Baptist
Church, showed colored slides in the
Belmore Presbyterian Church on
Monday evening 'mid gave an interest-
ing account of their work among the
lepers.
