The Presbyterian congregation met
in the S. S. room of the church last
Tuesday night to see the photographs
and cartoints that the pastor,. Rev, W.
S. Sutherland was showing on an
Opaque Projeetur, which he was test-
ing out, Mr. Sutherland was sent out
as a Padre in the First Canadian Tank
Brigade, and was afterwards trans-
ferred to the First Canadian Division
and these pictures were taken in 1948
and 44 with the Division in Sicily and
Italy, The pictures were especially in-
teresting as they showed ife in the
army, sleeping quarters and the actual
work of the men in these far countries
and Mr. Sutherland himself appeared
in many of the pictures. Mr. Suther-
land was Editor of the Divisional
Army Newspaper, Redpatch, and he
showed many interesting cartoons
gathered through the years from this
paper. The Langside congregation
were shown the pictures on Monday
evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Jackson, Blyth,
Mr. Tom Cook of Lucknow, has

Mrs. John Mason, last -Wednesday
evening, when seven tables played.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Armstrong re-
ceived the prizes for the high score
during the month of March. Mrs. John
Mason and Mr. Bert Vincent held high
points for the evening. Mr. and Mrs,
Ken Mason held low points. All en-
joyed the lunch of pie and ice cream.
