Bridge—The iron for a new bridge on the G.T,R., near the Western Foundry Co's works is being placed on the ground and the work of erecting a new bridge will be commen- ced about the first of April. The pre- sent bridge has been found too light for the large Mogul engines, hence the change. Good Clean Hockey—The Junior championship hockey match in the Wingham rink on Friday evening was one of the best ever witnessed in Wingham, Clinton, winners of their district, defeated the Wingham team, winners of their district, in the first game on Clinton ice by a score of 6 to 2, so in order to win the round, Wingham had to defeat Clinton by at least five goals. Both teams played hockey in a clean, fast and gentleman- ly manner that was a pleasure to watch. The Wingham boys had the visitors beaten 4 to 0 until within about a minute of full time when Clin- ton got the goal that won them the round, as the game ended Wingham 4, Clinton 1, making the round score Clinton 7 .and Wingham 6.
