Knight - Fisher-A quiet wedding
was solemnized at the Manse, White-
church, on Saturday, December 30th,
when Rev, J. Pollock united in mar-
riage, Miss Annetta Fisher, only dau-
ghter of Mr. W. J. Fisher of Kinloss
and the late Mrs, Fisher, to Leonard
Albert Knight, of Stratford, son of
Mr. Knight of Linwood and the late
Mrs. Knight,
Father and Son in Net Duel-The
Old Timers sprung somewhat of a
surprise on the startled Prudentials
here at the rink on Thursday evening
in a fine hockey match, as father Earl
kept pace with son "Bob" in a stirring
goal tenders' duel. The final score was
a one-all tie. In the second fray of the
night Lower Town showed much im-
provement in holding Supertest to a

The Belgrave Athletic AssociatiOn
held a New Year's Eve Party in the
Forrester's Hall. The hall was gaily
decorated with balloons and stream-
ers, Mrs. Jesse Wheeler and Mr,
Herbert Wheeler were the winners
for the euchre and Alvin Peng-elly
and Mr. W. G. Cruickshank were
awarded consolation prizes. Jackson's
Orchestra supplied the music for
dancing and the New Year was cele-
brated with traditional noise makers.
A very good crowd was in attend-
