in-law, Mr, Fred Hooper at Welwyn,
Sask. Mr, Hooper was married to Miss
Rebecca Mathers ten months ago, and
following their marriage visited rein.,
titres here during the Christmas season,
'Mr, Hooper had not enjoyed good
health during the summer months, and
Mr Henry Mathers went to the West
to assist with the harvest and thresh-
ing and will remain with his sister for
a time. The sympathy of the commun-
ity is extended to the bereaVed.
Church News
Rev, L. C. Jorgensen occupied the
pulpit at 'Knox Presbyterian Church on
Sunday morning and spoke on the
subject of "Joseph I & Command, con-
cerning his bones" showing 'that after
300 years his body was buried in the
land of promise, The choir sang, "He
lifted me." Announcement was made
for the special services to be held later
in October.
Regular service was held in the
United Church. The sacrament of the
Lord's Supper was observed, conduct-
ed Eby the pastbr, Rev. J. A, Burden,
Who spoke on the theme "Anchored in
God."
Mr. S, H. 'Young, President of the
Christie Brown Co., Toronto, and ,Mrs.
Young, also Mrs. Marjory Jacobs, of
London, were week-end guests with
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. McKinney, at their
summer home here.
