Wightman - McCully
A pretty wedding took place at the
Brucefield United Church manse at
high noon, June 2nd., when Rev. E. R.
Stairway united in marriage, Mary
Grace McCully, daughter of ;Mr. Jos-
eph S. McCully of Brucefield, and
Mr, Charles Ivan Wightman of Bel-
grave, son of Mr, George Wightman
of Kincardine. The manse was decor-
ated with spring flowers for the oc-
casion. The bride chose foe her wed-
ding gown white satin with fitted bod-
ice, full skirt, long sleeves tapering to
a point at the fingers. Her headdress
was a circular net veil, Her flowers
were Peerless red roses with bouvardia
in a cascade bouquet, Site wore a
single strand of pearls, the gift of the
groom, and pearl earrings worn by
her mother on her ,wedding day, Miss
Mae Stackhouse of Brucefield, was the
bridesmaid, She was gowned in pale
pink sheer with full skirt and sleeves
and embroidered yoke with a halo of
pale pink net. She carried a colonial
bouquet- of white Matchless carnations.
Mr. Ken Brigham of Blytlf; cousin of
the bridegroom, was best man. It was
a double ring eeremony.
A wedding dinner was served to
about thirty-six guests, immediate
relatives of the bride and bridegroom,
at the Clinton hotel, The diningroont
tats decorated with spring flowers.
The newlyweds left for a honeymoon
at Niagara Falls and points in the
United States. The bride's travelling
costume was a powder blue ballerina
suit with raspberry shortie coat and
black accessories. Ott their return Mr.
and Mrs. Ivan Wightman will reside
on the Wightman farm, R. R, 1, Bel,
grave.

June 5th, for the marriage of Mar-
guerite Joyce, slaughter of ,Mr, and

The home was attractive with white
bells and pink and white streamers.
The bride's table was centred with a
four-storey -wedding rake mid silver

their daughter, Mildred, who was a
member of the play, and gave her a
surprise party prior to her wedding.
The evening was spent, in pfayinu
crokinole and cards, after which
an address was read by Wal-
lace Bell and an end table was pre-
sented by Jean -Cartwright on behalf
of the east.
Trousseau Tea
Mrs. Wm. Carter entertained at a
trousseau reception for her daughter,
Mildred, prior to her marriage on
Saturday. Some fifty-seven guests,
aunts elides and cousins, were present.
Pink and white streamers and white
bells were arranged threttighout the
rooms, with baskets of lilacs, 'tulips
and narcissus. The guests were re-
ceived by Mrs. Carter and Mildred.
The trousseau was shown by Mrs,
Robert Phillips of Aubure, cousin o'
the bride, Irene :anent of Dtmgaenon,
sister of the groom-elect showed the
linens and Frances Hollyetan of Myth,
cousin of the bride displayed the gifts.
