Mr. and Mrs. Gershon) Johnston and
Alice and Jimmie were in London on
Thursday, where they visited with his
mother, Mrs, John Johnston, who has
been in Victoria Hospital for the past
two weeks, and Mrs. Johnston and
Alice, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Robinson
were in Seaforth on Monday to visit
with Mrs. C. W, Wood in Scott Mem-
orial Hospital.

of Morris. Several of the men who
put cattle on the grass this spring had
the misfortune to lose some of them
during the little winter we had last
week, when cattle bad no protection
or ready food supply.

The monthly meeting of the Wo-
men's Missionary Society was held in
the Sunday School room of the Church
on Tuesday, May 4th. Mrs. Charles
Hopper and her group had :harge of
the programme. Mrs, Hopper spoke
on the theme of the meeting which
was, "Each for all and all for each."
Mrs, H. Crawford gave the last two
chapters in the Study Book. A very
lovely duet was contributed by Mrs.
L. Hiseler and Mrs. D. Hutcheson.
Mrs. Fingland and Mrs. Wm. Field
both delegates to the Huron Presby-
terial Convention held at Seaforth,
brought the report of the meeting to
the Society. Mrs. Field also gave a
short talk on Christian Stewardship.
The President conducted the business
and closed the meeting.

put a fire on in his furnace on Satur-
day he found a dead wild duck. Some-
how it must have slipped into the big
tile at the top of the high chimney and
