The young people of the Presbyter-
ian church held their monthly social
evening on Tuesday with the Presi-
dent, Miss Barbara Newman in the
chair for the worship service. Miss
Annie Kennedy read the scripture les-
son and Mr, James Wilson gave a
short talk' on Young People accepting
Christ early,as their guide and conse-
crating their life to His service, after
which he led in prayer, Mrs, Cecil Fal-
coner was in charge of the recreation
period, lunch was served and a social
hour enjoyed.
Mr. Charles Robinson is busy spray-
ing cattle for the second time and
works from the ninth con, to the West
boundary this week to finish tip in E,
Wawanosh,
Miss Burdetta O'Malley RN,, of
Sarnia, returned to her position there
on Monday after spending two weeks
at the home of her brother, Mr. Thos.
O'Malley.
Many of the relatives of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Robinson front E, Wawa-
nosh attended the dance held in their
honour at St. Helen's last Thursday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs, Walter Lettmer, Rose
Marie and Jim of Toronto, spent the
week-end at the home of her brother,
Mr. John Boyle and with Mr. and Mrs,
'Gus Devereaux, of E. Wawanosh.
Mr. Tupper Cunnington who spent
the past two weeks at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Charles Robinson, re-
turned to his home in Toronto on Sat-
urday.
Misses Eleanor and Susan Wight-
man have been very ill with chicken
pox.
Interment was made in Wingham cem-
etery. The ,pallbearers were John
Hanna, James McBurney, John C,
McBurney, Alex Meilorney, Ed. MC-
'cltimy and Stewart McBurney,

Robert McBurney
In ailing health for the past seven
months and seriously ill for five weeks
Robert McBurney of Wingham, passed
on at Wingham General Hospital on
Tuesday April 27th, aged 82 years.
