A Farmatic automatic roller mill
can increase your butterfat
and your income
Feeding and Management a 50% factor in Butterfat Production
It's true that 50% of the variation in fat test between cows can be explained
by genetic differences. This still leaves 50% which is environmental,
a large proportion of which is feeding and management in nature.
Feeding Rolled Grain Mixes Promotes Butterfat Production
Finely ground grains not only reduce the palatability of a
grain mix but also contribute to a lower butterfat test. Rolled grain mixes
provide larger particle sizes. Larger particle sizes encourage
acetic acid production in the rumen. The mammary gland incorporates
this additional acetic acid as additional butterfat.
More Butterfat from Farmatic Rolled Grains equals more Income
Milk payment is universally, based on the butterfat it contains.
If, for example, the butterfat differential is 45 per hundred litres and your
herd average is 20 litres per cow per day, for every 0,1 kg of extra
butterfat test you would receive an addtional $2.70 per cow
per month. If you have a 40-cow milking herd with a 3.8% butterfat test
instead of the 3.6% base, you would receive an extra $216 per
month or $2,592 for the year.

What is green? The tree is

What is gold? The star is

Shining on the top so old.
What is white? The angel's

Standing at the top so bright.
What is blue? The lights are

Hanging on the tree so new.

They call it Christmas

Their being few they have no

they are not paid. ,
The flying reindeer are
found few and far between,
and their folies are not easy
These being special beasts
But Santa is going round the
world
Bringing children toys
Tis surely more than enough
Bringing fun and joy

THE BELLS ON.
CHRISTMAS EVE
By Arlene Johnson
Grade 7
Usborne (Central
The Christmas bells did ring,
One bright and luxurious
morn,
With that we sing and sing•
To praise the Christ's new
born,
The bells, they ding and dong
To feel the outstanding
power,
With that we sing a song,
To pass an hour by hour.
The bells do wonderfully
chime
We never feel any sorrow
With, that we think it's time
To trust God until tomorrow,

Santa, the jolly old man
He does everything he can.
For on Christmas night
There's a wonderful sight
When jolly old St. Nick
Comes down the chimny in a
flick
Santa jumps out with a ho ho
ho
And a pile of snow
He fills our stockings with
lots of toys
And Christmas joys
In the middle of the night
We woke to a wonderful sight
Suddenly we heard him
call:
Merry Christmas
To all!
