caution shoppers to examine.
each toy carefully, check
instructions and visualize a
child playing with it.
A plaything that's perfect
for an older child could harm
an infant. If there is more
than one child in a
household, be sure a toy is
safe for all.
All edges, corners and
surfaces should be Meath
and rounded,
Toys.shoiild be too large to
swallow, but not large
enough to hurt a. child if they
fall on him. And they should
be built to take punishment

Pre-arranging Funerals
Pre-arranging a funeral is simply a method
chosen by some people to assist their sur-
vivors after a death occurs. By doing so, the
major decisions involved in arranging a
funeral can be made in an atmosphere that ,
does not involve the emotional upset which
follows the death of a family member. Any
enquiries pertaining to pre-drranged
funerals are invited.

Rabies, which is spread by
infected animals, continues to
be a serious problem in Ontario.
It is of special Concern in
built up areas where domestic and
wild animals are infecting children
who come in contact with them.
Children should be warned to
avoid stray pets, as well as wild
animals, especially if they appear sick or friendly
because these usually are signs that they are rabid.
Pets should be regularly vaccinated and kept
indoors at night. You can help to control rabies by
reporting to your local police, humane society or
health unit any pets or wild animals which are acting
strangely.
Do not handle your pet with bare hands immedi-
ately after it has fought with a rabid animal. Do not
touch dead animals. Seek advice from a veterinarian.
Contact your doctor or health unit immediately if your
child or pet comes in contact with wild animals.
