Wednesday evening the Crediton Women's Institute held a birthday party for the residents at the Blue Water Rest Home in Zurich. Entertainment was provided by Maggie Clark, John Stewart, Harvey Smith and aearldine Schenk' who played several toe tapping numbers. Gloria Martin and Glenn Hodgins, The Double G's, provided musical numbers and led the residents and guests in a sing song. The children who attended got together for an impromp- tu song. Arlene and Allan Cottel, Dennis and Scott Hodgins and Ruth and 'Lisa Martin delighted the elderly people. Birthday presents were handed out by the W.I. presi- dent Mrs. Dave Cottel and happy birthday was sung. A lunch was served by the Crediton ladies and birthday cake topped off the evening. The Crediton Women's Institute would welcome anyone to their November meeting tonight, who are in- terested in travel informa- tion. Ms. Smith from the Coach Houk will be the guest speaker.
