Neil had two each. The Lucan, bantams rebounded from a 3.1 deficit to post a 5.3 win over Exeter, Wednesday, and followe it up with a 6-0 win on home ice,, Friday. Steve Gould scored a pair for Exeter in the home loss, while Steve Batten had the single and two assists. Trevor Johnston helped on two goals and George Pratt on one. Scoring the only goal of the first frame was Marauders Hugh Wilson who beat Exeter goalie Doug Fairbairn. Picking up goals in the se- cond period was Mohawks Ken Bergman and Centralia players Ron Funston, Rick Funston and Perry Knee. The final period was a wild affair with Mohawks Bergman, Randy Gilfillan, and Luc Gagnon scoring. Gilfillan had two goals in the period, Countering for Centralia were Ron Funston, Mark Cronyn with a pair, and Ran- dy Somerville. The Mohawks were forced to cancel the game Sunday due to seven Mohawki pick- ing up injuries. The Hensall Sherwoods picked up a pair of wins this week in South Huroh Hockey League action this week with victories over Parkhill and Goderich. On Sunday in Parkhill, the' Sherwoods edged the Merchants 5-4 with Rick Ingram scoring two goals. The other Hensall goals were scored by Dwight Consitt, Dave Kinsman and Jim Ferguson. Thursday, Hensall out- scored the Flyers from Goderich 10-6 to take the win. Leading the way for Hensall was Jamie Caldwell with three goals. Consitt and Steve Knight contributed two scores each. Jon O'Connor paced the attack with three goals, while ad- ding singles were Steve Lingard, Scott Boyd and Jeff Rowe. Fred Gregus and Shawn Moore contributed the shutout. On Saturday, the locals dropped a 4-2 count to Lucan as the winners scored twice in the final five minutes to take the win. Jon O'Connor scored both Exeter tallies with Steve Lingard getting the assists. Mark Ouimet had a pair for Lucan and the singles were recorded by Terry Ouimet and Darren Neil. .Two others lose The Exeter pee wees and bantams remained winless as they were dumped twice by Lucan. The atoms gained a win in, Merton, Friday, while the novice posted a tie and win in two weekend games. The midgets started their week off with a 6-2, win over Ilderton and followed it up with a 7-2 victory over Lucan at the rec centre, Wed- nesday. Friday night, Lucan gained a 3-3 tie with the locals and they tied Forest 5- 5 in an exhibition game, Sunday. Scott Pincombe paced the attack against Ilderton, firing a hat trick. Dave Underwood contributed a pair and Mike. Clark not- ched the other. Scott Brintnell recorded the team's second hat trick performance of the week against Lucan, Wednesday. Dave Underwood, Jeff Rowe, Mike Clark and Dave Hayter picked up the singles. Exeter blew a 3-1 lead in Friday's game at Lucan as the home team came back with a pair in the final period to gain the tie. Jeff Rowe, Scott Pincombe and Dave Hayter scored for Exeter, while replying for Lucan were Steve Glenn, Tim Clubert and Darrell Ibbitson. The scoring in the exhibition game in Forest was led by Dave Under- sood's pair. Notching the singles were Mike Clark, Steve Prout and Scott Brintnell. Waxers get three Playing in Lucan, Saturday, the Exeter Waxers scored a 4-4 tie for their first Shamrock loop point and they followed that up on Sunday with a 4-3 win over Goderich at the rec centre. Robbie McLelland scored a pair in the tie against Lucan, with the singles going to AlanBlommaertand Dave Dalrymple. Blommaert also had a pair of assists. Chris Welsh scored twice for Lucan and the singles were fired by I3J'ad Hirtz9I and Lenny ether, Exeter scored with 14 seconds left to win their first novice game of the season on Sunday. David Dalrymple, finished off a play with Jamie Bedard and Jim Ahrens to get the winner. Robbie McLelland added two goals for Exeter and the other single was fired by Tim VanDam. Alan Blommaert and Todd Hun king helped out on one goal each.
