Dear Editor,
I wish to correct the
following statement, which
appeared in your publication
on October 29, 1980.
"The rumor that Huron
Park is being considered is
circulating among some
officers of the United Auto
Workers in London."
In May of 1980, top
executive officers of the
United Auto Workers Union
were called to .a meeting
with officials of the de
Havilland company. At this
meeting the U.A.W. was
informed by de Havilland,
that Huron Park was being
considered as apossible site.
At this meeting the U.A.W.
was also guaranteed
automatic certification,
wherever de Havilland
decided to locate the new
plant.
Yours truly,
Patrick Lane
President, U.A.W. Local 1620
