Applesauce Cake
12/2 c. flour c. white sugar
1 tsp. soda 1/2 c. brown sugar
% tsp. Cinnamon 1 egg beaten
1/4 tsp, Gloves 1 c. applesauce
1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. water
1 tsp salt 2/3 c. raisins.
1/2 c. shortening
Sift, flour, spices and salt. Cream, shortening,•
gradually adding sugars. Beat until fluffy. Add beaten
egg, Blend in applesauce. Add flour mixture alternate-
ly with water, and raisins. Bake at 350 deg. for 40 to 45
min. in a greased pan.

Dark Fruit Cake
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp mace
1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 lb, raisins
1 lb. currants
1/2 lb, citron, cut
1/2 lb. candied orange and lemon peel
1/2 lb. chopped nuts
10 eggs, well beaten
1 c. honey
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. dates, cut
1 c. molasses
c. cider
Sift flour once, add baking powder, spices and sift 3
times. Cream shortening thoroughly, add sugar,
cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, fruit, peel, nuts,
honey, molasses and cider. Add flour gradually. Bake
in paper lined fruit cake tins. Bake 200 degrees for 21/2 -
3 hours or until done. Makes 10 lb. fruit cake.

White Fruit Cake
Bake 3 hours at 250 deg.
1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar (21/4 cups)
2 lbs. white raisins•
6 eggs, beaten
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. red and green cherries
1/2 lb. gum drops
1 c. sweet milk
41/2 c. bread flour
1 tsp. baking powder .
juice and rind of 1 lemon
Line 3 small loaf pans with 4 layers of heavy brown
paper, greased. Cream butter and sugar and add eggs.
Beat well. Add flour and milk alternately. Mix
chopped fruit and raisins and gum drops with 1/2 cup
flour until all fruit is coated. Then add to batter.Put in
oven.

Wicky-Wacky Dump Cake
Layer in ungreased 9x13 pan
19 oz. can cherry pie filling or apple pie filling
drain 19 oz. can pineapple chunks over cherry pie fill-
ing and place chunks evenly in juice
sprinkle large white or yejlow cake mix next over
pineapple chunks (if using apple pie filling a spiced
cake mix can be used)
2 small pouches can be used for large mix if desired
drizzle 1 c. melted butter over top
add 1 c coconut
1 c. Special K cereal
Cook 1 hour - glass 275; metal 300.
Rhubarb Coffee Cake
Topping
1/2 c. white sugar •
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. butter or margarine (melted)
1 tsp. cinnamon
Cake
11/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
11/2 - 2 c. rhubarb cut in 1/2 " length pieces. Mix topping
and set aside. Cream brown sugar, shortening and egg.
Mix dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream.
Stir in rhubarb, Pour in bundt pan, greased and
floured. Sprinkle top mixture evenly over batter. Bake
at 325 deg. 45-50 mm.
