2 pounds chicken parts
tbsp. shortening
oz. can cream of chicken soup,
In frying pan, brown chicken in. shortening; pour off
fat. Stir in soup. Cover: cook over low heat *Minutes
or until tender. Stir occasionall.y.
Serves 4.
Oven Method:
In a shallow 2-quart baking dish, arrange chicken' skin-
side down and pour over it 2 tablespoons melted butter
or margarine. Bake at 400 degrees for 20, minutes.
Turn chicken, bake 20, minutes, or until tender. Stir.
sauce before serving. Makes 4 servings.
Note;
If you wish ta. vary the flavor, try using, cream of
celery.. golden mushroom or cream with grated cheese
and favorite herb or seasoning,
Barbecued' Hamburgers
In a heavy skillet. brown in 2 tbsp. hot fat
1 lb. ground beef, salt and pepper
rced. onion grated:
Stir in 3'2 cup chili sauce. 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
Stuff this roixtureintohollowedout large round buns.
Put buns in covered toaster or any large covered pan.

Lamb Steaks with Vegetables
4 lamb steaks 2 medium. tomatoes shoed.
2 cloves garlic. mashed. 1 tsp. salt
1 c. sliced mushrooms tsp. fresh ground pepper
1 c. chopped green pepper 2 tap. paprika
ar chopped onion_ tsp. dried rosemary
c. dry sherry,
Spread mashed garlic on the steaks and arrange them
in a fariiy shallow casserole that will hold them in one
layer. Arrange the remaining ingredients on top of the
steaks. and bake in a 325 deg. oven for 40 minutes, or
until the steaks are very tender. Cover for the first 25
minutes. then remove cover. Serves 4, or more if the
steaks are very large.
Meat and Vegetable Casserole
4 sliced potatoes
5 sliced, carrots
I sliced onion
I lb. minced beef
I can tornoto soup
Cook meat just enough to drain off excess fat, Grease
casserole. put layer of potatoes then layer of carrots
and onion. Rut meat on top of vegetables and pour
tomato soup over all. Cover with tin foil. Cook at 350
deg. for one' hour. Serves 4, Tasty.
