Mr. and Mrs. Rob Tern- pleman, Carrah and Cain visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Hap Swatridge and Jill, Wingham. For nearly 40 years he served as chairman of the Seaforth Lions Park com- mittee during which the present park was developed and as president of Seaforth Community Hospital while the hospital was planned and built. His service as a member of parliament 1949- 1953 and at the United Nations also was recalled. The regular service at Hensall United Church was held on Sunday, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stanley McDonald conducting the service and Douglas Kloppat the organ. The message was "You snore through the sermon?" Soloist for the day was Wayne Payne of London who sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "What a Friend I Have In Jestus". Greeting at the door was Ross Veal and ushers were Tim Rowcliffe, John O'Brien, Scott Jesney and Donald Wareing. A visitor's registration and pen set, depecting the front entrance of the church was kindly donated by the church custodian Milton Lavery, and occupied a prominent place at the front entrance of the church, July birthday greetings to residents Birthday greetings were extended to residents Mrs, Ethel Drover and Ed Devine residents, of Queensway Nursing Home who celebrated July birthdays. The, residents express a sincere thank you to Ivan Norris, Jim Young, and George Mathonia who supplied wonderful music for them. It was appreciated by all the residents. Rev. Forsythe of Exeter conducted worship at the home accompanied by Bob Cameron at the piano. Recognizing the years in which the McLean family has been in the newspaper business, an honorary life membership in the Canadian Community Newspaper Association was presented to Andrew Y. McLean, publisher of the Huron Expositor at the annual convention of the association in Edmonton last week.
