married August 2, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Father Al Sasso officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs..
Leona Glavin of RR 2 Lucan and the late John Glavin, The
graam's parents are Mr. and Mrs. August Roelands of RR 8,
Parkhill. The 'bride was given in marriage by her brother Ed
Glavin, and alter boys were Robbie Roelands and Danny
Larkin. Matron of honour was Mary-Angela Rutten of RR 8
Parkhill. Bridesmaids were Theresa Parsons, Exeter, Nancy
Roelands, and Mary-Lou Roelands, both of RR 4, Parkhill. Best
man was Matthew Roelands of RR 3, Ailsa Craig. Guests were
ushered by, Andy Roelands, RR 4, Parkhill, Dennis Glavin, RR
2, Lucan and Pete DeGouw, RR 5, Parkhill. Flower girl was
Tina Glavin and ring bearer was Jimmy Ruffen. After a wed-
ding trip to Eastern Ontario, the couple are residing at RR 8,

parents, Mr. and Mrs. Beverly Alexander of Hensall. The dou-
ble ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Stanley McDonald.
Doug McNeil was the soloist. The maid of honour was Nanc$
Ryckman and the best man was Paul Gibbings. A reception
was held at the Exeter Golf and Country Club. After a trip to

28th 7 p.m. wedding of Margaret Ann, daughter of Mr. and
' Mrs. W, Dondhue and. Ronald Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs, Keith
Watson. Rev, Aldworth performed the double ring ceremony
with Mr. Bruce Scott as the organist. Maid of honour was
Brenda Chambers, Si, Marys. Bridesmaids were Maly Jane
Markin, Kirkton and Cathy Donohue sister of the bride. Kelvin
Chambers, St. Marys was best man and guests were ushered
by Gord MOrrikg, brother. of the groom and Ted Bibby both
from. Kirkton. Ring bearers were Mark and Mike Morning,

nectarine varieties suited to
the Canadian climate.
"Many people think a
nectarine is a cross between
a peach and a plum," says
Dick Layne, a tree fruit
breeder at the -Harrow
station. "But it's really only
a peach that lacks the fuzz
because of a mutant gene.
