Kathy pointed out that to
deal with the doubts of
teenagers and their efforts to
reach personal decisions,
bribes, campaigns and-
slogans have no effect in
keeping young people in the
church.
Parents should share their
pericinal faith, talking as
person to person and asking
God's help. Both age groups
might well have their faith
deepened.
As a young adult Henry
said he, like most others, had
the chief aims of making
money, having a car, etc. It
was not until after an
operation that he started to
appreciate God and his
parents. His growth
developed until now he feels
that going to church is a
necessary part of his life.
Kathy concluded with the
thought that all of us, at. any.
age, must honestly and
constantly deal with these
questions.

The combined service for
the Lucan and Clandeboye,
churches Sunday was one
with a difference when
Kathy and Henry Kaune
discussed in dialogue the
subject "So you don't want to
go to Church today?"
Henry told of his, feelings
about going. to Church at
various stages of his life and
Kathy's responses were
aimed at what parents can
do.
Henry's earliest memories
of church were connected
with getting all dressed up
and of being told to "Keep
quiet". In reply Kathy
emphasized the respon-
sibilities of parents to instill
obedience and discipline; as
well as the lode of God in
their children.
As a young boy in East
Germany, after the war
Henry was .aware of the
communists efforts to en-
doctrinate the people by
planting seeds of doubt,
keeping them from going to
church, etc., and he realized
that they needed the help of
God for even survival. He
remembers noticing that
after escaping to West Berlin
the churches there were
filled.
As a teenager in Canada,
with so much freedom, he
rebelled about going to
church, wanting to decide
things for himself. Here

It is one of the most
beautifully restored old
homes I have ever seen.
Later in the afternoon we
attended the matinee per-

were glorious and most of
the group would have en-

evening performance.
For those who have only

was a wonderful experience
to see it in the summertime,
even though the grass was
not "blue"! This only hap-

early settler thought he had

first saw part of Kentucky in
the spring.

only one in Canada who has

Rev. Ray Brewster opened
the morning service at the
Revival centre with worship
in song.
Mrs. Marlene Thornton
beautifully sang "Jesus is
the Son of God."
Mrs. Geri Fletcher gave
an illustrated talk to the
Junior church on being born
again, saying as a tadpole or
a caterpillar shed their old
skins to come in new birth as
a bullfrog or a butterfly, so
I we must shed over bad
habits.
Harold Fletcher played his
guitar as they taught a
chorus about bullfrogs and
butterflies being born again.
Rev. Brewster ministered
from Isaiah 63:16, John 1:12
and 11 Corinth.6:17 and said
that serving. God is a family
affair. We cannot serve God
without being part of God's
family. It makes a
tremendous difference when
the whole family is born
again and starts serving
God.

There are three charac-
teristics in God's family.
First is Christ's com-
mandment to love one
another. Then acceptance of
people as God does, making
them feel wanted. In God's
family there must be no
discriminations. God's
family is one of great grace.
We are in God's family,
serving Him, only through
the great grace of God giving
us new life through His Son,
Jesus Christ.
Sunday evening Larry
McGill played piano while
he, Juli McGill and Doug
Butler sang "Praise the
Lord," and "Sing a song of
praise". Harold Fletcher,
playing his guitar, sang
"Take time out for Jesus, He
took time out for you."

It climbed to number one
