Hensall reached the final round by defeating Thames Road 14-12 while Huron Park beat the Exeter Cbol Cats 8- 6. In the consolation game of the "A" division, Thames Road defeated the Exeter Cool Cats 13-12 in an exciting see-saw game that saw Thames Road's three run lead in the top of the seventh slip to jnst one run before the final cut was made. In the "B" division three teams competed in a round robin series to deterininewho , w,ould meet in the cham- pionship game. Hibbert downed Exeter Tigers 10-9, Elimville beat Hibbert 12-5 and Exeter Tigers edged Elimville 14-13. The two tops teams met in the final with Elimville edging the Exeter Tigers 9-8. A similar tournament for pee wee boys is being held this Saturday at Cromarty with eight teams par- ticipating. That'S exactly what happened to the Dashwood Tigers in Huron-Perth senior baseball play this week. TheTigers defeated Thorndale 7-0 Tuesday night and continued with an 11-4 victory Sunday, but, in the process lost three players through injuries. The most serious was a broken,ankle suffered by ace left handed pitcher John Bruijns when he attempted to slide into second base in the third inning, Sunday in Therndale. Bruijsn was still in University Hospital, London on Monday having the break set. In the same game, out- fielder Jim Dietrich severely sprained an ankle in a similar sliding incident and Fred Robinson also injured Two jitneys for bowlers Gordon Hoggarth was the winner of the Thursday night regular jitney at the Exeter lawn bowling club with two wins, an aggregate of 30 and plus of nine. Beth Batten was a close second with identical wins and aggregate score, but, a plus of four. Sam Bower was third with a 26 aggregate and four plus. Completing the scoring were Charles Hendy, Bill Etherington, Percy Camp- bell and Isabel Rogerson. Saturday night's winner was Mabel McKnight with a pair of victories, 27 aggregate and plus of three. Thelma Russell was a close second with a 26 aggregate and plus of six while Liz Lamport was third with• a plus of two to go with an aggregate of 26. The three Poplar Hill runs came in the sixth inning. In the Crediton first, Sherry Pfaff tripled and scored on a single by Deb Lord and in the second Sandy O'Neill Was safe man error and was able to get around to score. Deb Lord and Carol Stuart produced base hits in the third and scored while Sherry Pfaff singled and scored with a double from Deb Lord in the fourth.
